Programme

Traditionally, the lectures during the Congress are structured in various sections which have been planned and conceptualized by the head of each section. Within each section, it is possible to register both for panels and for a single lecture. However, lectures and panels with interdisciplinary approach which cut across the borders of the above mentioned sections should be registered under the forum “Interdisciplinary Issues”.

The Congress should preferably be structured along thematically bound panels. Three lectures usually make for a block of 90 minutes, e.g. each lecture is afforded 15 till 20 minutes time. The heads of sections worked in close cooperation with the organizational team to structure the individual presentations thematically. Main language of the Congress will be German; however, English and French contributions are welcome if they take place in panels organized beforehand.

In contrast to past Congresses we have tried to simplify the structure of the program and to strengthen the role of the sections. The form of forum first introduced during the DOT in 2004 in Bamberg is not being continued. The interdisciplinary panels will be held within the frame of the forum Interdisciplinary Issues. We hope to succeed in obtaining a well-structured program.

The organizational team will decide in close cooperation with the heads of sections on acceptance in the program. We reserve the right to refuse contributions which do not conform to established academic standards.
